Hazel: When you’re with the child, you’re happy. You try and do everything that you want to do. It doesn’t take away the fact of what you feel inside… Write it down, in a book – hide it – so that you’re getting the emotion out of you, but still focussing on the family, as a family.

Syed: Don’t listen to the negative. There is a lot of people who don’t know. They don’t know the condition; they don’t know the outcome. They don’t understand. These people think disability looks like one thing and is always awful.
